Mrs. Susan Mochache has had an extensive career in both the private and public sectors, with notable roles including her service as a Permanent Secretary in various Kenyan government ministries. She has made a significant impact on the healthcare sector, particularly through her leadership in successfully managing the national response to COVID-19 and her advocacy for the Universal Health Care policy, among other ongoing reforms. Additionally, Susan has held key positions as the chair for the Health Sector Partnership Framework and the Country Coordinating Mechanism for the Global Fund.
Currently, Susan serves as a Board member of the Global Fund, representing East and Southern Africa. She is a passionate advocate for Africa’s interests, particularly in ensuring country ownership and embedding sustainability mechanisms within national programs financed by global health institutions.
Susan brings a wealth of experience and knowledge in public policy, international health policy and diplomacy, social development, and advocacy. Her diverse background and leadership roles make her a valuable asset in addressing critical healthcare and public policy issues in Africa and beyond.
